Pharmacy
The clinical pharmacists at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center are important members of the health care team who help ensure the safest and most effective use of medications. Pharmacists and technicians are committed to safety and quality, and work closely with doctors and other caregivers to meet each patient’s specific health care needs.
The clinical pharmacy at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center is staffed with dedicated professionals who are on call 24 hours a day. The pharmacists at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center are trained and most are certified by the American Heart Association in both basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.
Pharmacists' Services:
- Attend physician rounds and advise providers during drug therapy decisions
- Monitor serum drug concentrations to target optimal drug therapy in patients taking certain types of medications
- Collaborate with other clinical specialists such as dietitians to avoid complications with medication and patient meals
- Review patients' nutritional needs and prepare special products to be given intravenously if needed
Hours
7 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday through Friday
8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Saturday - Sunday and holidays
