Mat-Su Regional Medical Center has new chief executive officer

Oklahoma healthcare executive Dave Wallace began his role as CEO of Mat-Su Regional on June 5. Dave brings more than 20 years of experience in hospital leadership to his new position, including serving for seven years as CEO of AllianceHealth Woodward in Oklahoma.
Dave previously served as chief operations officer at AllianceHealth Durant in Oklahoma, and as chief executive officer of Brown County Regional Healthcare in Georgetown, Ohio. Dave’s leadership experience encompasses both not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare organizations.
While at AllianceHealth Woodward, Dave collaborated with the medical staff, employees and community, identifying physician recruitment and retention as a top priority. He also worked to create a culture of respect and ownership within the organization, helping to produce significant improvements in employee and physician satisfaction.
Dave has a strong track record of success with physician recruiting, service expansion, and improving operational efficiencies. He has led hospitals to three national Top 100 Awards and consistent annual performance awards. He received the Modern Healthcare/Witt-Kieffer International “Up & Comer Award.” Under his leadership, AllianceHealth Woodward was given the 360 Degree Award in 2014, and earned The Joint Commission’s Top Performer on Key Quality Measures award for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Dave earned a master’s degree in health administration at The Ohio State University and bachelor’s degrees in business administration, and health science at California State University in Fresno. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Dave and his wife Kelly have three children, Brianna, Madison and Daniel.
