Doctors’ Day: Mat-Su Regional Celebrates Community Physicians

March 30 is National Doctors’ Day, a day we formally recognize the contributions of physicians to society. In the COVID era, their critical role has been brought into even sharper focus.
The past two years have been grueling, stretching and pulling us in every way imaginable. Our doctors have been on the frontlines, working tirelessly to care for people in need – our neighbors, our families, our friends. They have served our community with skill, dedication and compassion, often putting aside concern for their personal welfare to care for others.
In the midst of the anxiety and turbulence ushered in by this pandemic, we have seen their incredible capacity to endure hardship, fatigue, overcome adversity, support our staff and to care for patients with clinical excellence, tenderness and humility.
There is no better time than Doctors’ Day to express our gratitude and thank our community physicians for their enormous role in battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
To all our community physicians: Thank you for your leadership; for providing instruction and encouragement, and for helping us fulfill our mission of providing exceptional care to the patients we serve – even in the most challenging circumstances.
We are a fortunate community to have such exceptional doctors. I invite you to join me in saying thank you to our community physicians for their dedication and service.
With a grateful heart, and on behalf of all our employees, board members, volunteers and the patients who entrust us with their care, thank you for enriching our lives. We are blessed to have such wonderful doctors serving our community. Happy Doctors’ Day.
