Mat-Su Borough Community Health Needs Assessment
Mat-Su Health Foundation conducted a Community Health Needs Assessment for the Mat-Su Borough and published the results of the study in a 2022 report. The study identifies and prioritizes the major health needs of area residents and focuses on the geographic areas served by Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. The needs assessment analyzed data, demographics, socio-economic factors and health service utilization, and was conducted in association with multiple community stakeholders. The findings are published in the below report, which is a framework to help guide the Mat-Su Health Foundation and Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, in collaboration with other community partners, to tailor health services that will improve the health and well-being of citizens of the Mat-Su Valley. In addition to the study, the Mat-Su Health Foundation is working with numerous community partners to develop an Implementation Plan to help chart progress towards meeting the identified community needs. Implementation Plans for the 2019 and 2016 studies are posted below. The Implementation Plan for the 2022 study will be posted when it is published later this year.
